About Sarah Burdell

This I believe:

  • People react to their environment, culture, and experiences and as a result, develop behaviors that “define” them;

  • As humans, we have the power to break out of what “defines” us and live life differently;

  • Relationships start with the individual. As individuals, we can be harder on ourselves than others. I believe it’s possible to be kind and love ourselves first; and

  • Therapy is not forever. As a therapist, my goal is to put myself out of a job. Clients identify their goals and what brings them to therapy. As clients build skills and coping skills to help them navigate the world, we will review their necessity for therapy as well as how often they need schedule with me.

Vision’s full quote: Because it can’t be all sorrow, can it? I’ve always been alone so I don’t feel the lack. It’s all I’ve ever known. I’ve never experienced loss because I’ve never had a loved one to lose. What is grief, if not love persevering?
